राष्ट्रगीताचा अर्थ मराठी आणि इंग्लिश मध्ये

                              कलकत्ता येथील काँग्रेसच्या अधिवेशनात २७ डिसेंबर १९११ रोजी रवींद्रनाथ टागोरांनी ‘जन गण मन’ या प्रार्थनागीताचं गायन केलं. राष्ट्रगीत हे  बंगाली भाषेत लिहिलेलं आहे 

राष्ट्रगीताचा अर्थ :-

"जन-गनाच्या मनाचा अधिनायक असलेल्या हे भारत भाग्यविधात्या (पंचम जोर्जा)

तुझा जयजयकार असो !!!

पंजाब, सिंध, गुजरात, मराठा, द्रावीड, उत्कल, वंग (हे प्रदेश आणि )

विंध्य-हिमाचल-यमुना-गंगा आणि उसळणारे सागर

( थोडक्यात जमीन, पर्वत, नद्या, सागर सर्व )


तव शुभ नामे गाहे, आणि तव शुभ आशिष मागे !!!

आणि वर गाहे तव जय गाथा !!!!

जन-गणासाठी मंगलदायका, हे भारत भाग्यविधात्या (पंचम जोर्जा) जय हे॥ ( तुझा जयजयकार असो !!!)

जय हे, जय हे, जय हे... ( त्रिवार जयजयकार) जय जय जय जय हे !!!!!!( असंख्य वेळा जयजयकार असो !!!)

 It Echoes in the hills of Vindhyas and Himalayas, mingles in the music of Yamuna and Ganga and is chanted by the waves of the Indian Sea.

 They pray for your blessing and sing thy praise. The salvation of all people is thy hand, thou dispenser of India's destiny. Victory, Victory, Victory to thee.
