Teamcenter: Report builder

Generating report in Teamcenter with custom properties.

Whenever , we generate report in teamcenter either in excel or in html format, sometimes it may not able to give you required property..

In this case , if we want to generate more properties in the the excel sheet or in the html format.

open the report builder from teamcenter.

Select one of the property 

Rename it .

Import customized xsl file i.e stylesheets

Click on modify Button 

Generate report through your customized property .

Creating xsl file in teamcenter

1.  Go to the TC_DATA\crf\Resource folder
2. Find file where you want to customized your property 
3. Add your property line inside it .
4. Open that file save as it with your customized name 

sample files are present in the 

TC_DATA\crf\Resource 

in my case it is in D:\LocalTeamcenter\Siemens\tcdata\crf\Resources

Folder

I had to add one property in bom line report i.e owing_user 

Edit file

l10n_ps_bom_report_excel.xsl

see the format all previous file

Teamcenter/Oracle : Network adapter error

             

"Network adapter Error "          
       
                          Whenever you try to access remote machine's port through the software
and you found "Network adapter Error" .
then it has port Issue

Open the port first .
Suppose, while installing the oracle you gave the port number as 1521 that is default port number 
then if you found Network adapter error then 
Try to open a port i.e 1521 through the firewall setting 

Open all those port which ever you given for installation a particular software .

Integration of microsoft office with teamcenter

 For integrating ms office with the teamcenter follow the following steps..........

1]Run the tem.bat file

2]checked the content and document management box

3]search page for the InstallTcExplorer.html

4]orelse search for the following path,(In my case it is ..following)

C:\jboss-4.2.2.GA\server\default\tmp\deploy\tmp8108741331897592039tc.ear-contents\tc-exp.war\teamcenter\presentation\webdav\client

5]Install the vcredist_x86.exe setup

6]then login to the teamcenter if u get the MS office template then double click on the ms office dataset...

If you are able to open the ms office then it means it integrated with the ms office

7]now visit the IE 32bit browser  .............(very imp it depends on ure exe)

8]follow the step

   InstallTcExplorer.html

9]go to the IE-->tool->security-->custom level-->

10]enable activexplugin..................follow the step carefuuly........

11]open the ms office you will get the new add_ins

Editing Item icon of the Teamcenter

Hello,

          If u  wanna change  the item icon of the teamcenter then

open the folder

D:\LocalTeamcenter\Siemens\Teamcenter8\portal\plugins\configuration_8000.3.0

follow the following steps

1]create folder 

images :paste the image you want it should be round about 16*16

2]create file name customer.properties

Edit that file and type

Item.ICON=images/name of image

3]D:\LocalTeamcenter\Siemens\Teamcenter8\portal\registry

open the path in the command prompt

run the genregxml.bat file

4]tried to login again into the teamcenter.
